Is Uplift A Child International a scam?

I just want to make sure this is a legitimate charity before I donate to it. It is a charity that you can make a yearly donation to and supposedly pay for an Indian child's education. Just a couple of things that make me worried: numerous spelling/grammar mistakes on the site, and on the list of children there are two pictures of the same girl but the site says they are different people (could just be a mistake).
