Rescued stray needs to put on weight...?

Give her dog food, not people food. Try adding chicken or lamb based canned food to the dry dog food. Do not add BBQ sauce that could upset her digestion. She might not eat a lot right away. She has been through a lot. Ask your vet for help placing her in a good home. Post her picture at the vet's office.
